Well, this is not actually my gyne though. Mel invited me to accompany her to her gyne's today. Boy, it was fun! They actually have a program to allow you to see a 3-D version of the baby. And listen to the gyne pointing out "here's the fingers, and you can see the toes there, the nose here, etc. It just felt so sweet and heartwarming! Sort of makes you want to go make your own baby too! Haha.

Anyway, yesterday I was ecstatic. Today, I am over the moon! But like I always say, nothing is guaranteed unless it is penned on paper. I'm really thankful to Mel for being so supportive and helpful throughout my one year plus with citi. She will make a fantastic boss, I know. And I hope that we can work together for as long as we can. She's just so sweet and everything. It's such a coincidence that we happen to share the same name and have so much in common. I guess she might just be my "guardian angel".

Anyway, I just wish that Mel's pregnancy goes well and she will have a healthy baby in March. Meanwhile, I have so much to learn from her. Hopefully I can shoulder the greater responsibility and not disappoint her.

Couldn't stand my royal purple nails - a sharp contrast to the pretty pink on my fingers, so I went to Pink Parlour for a pampering Princess Pedicure at $33.



Followed by retail therapy cos Diva is having a sale and I was waiting for my pizza.

And there, you can easily spend more than a hundred dollars in a day. But I have every reason to pamper myself silly today. I am the happiest today in weeks! For some reason I do not want to share yet as nothing is guaranteed if it is not in black & white.

Have not been blogging for the longest time. Been really lazy and oh well, there was nothing exciting going on anyway. Instead of boring people with my daily affairs, might as well keep my trap shut. I do have another outlet to vent my frustrations and endless rants though, which is too private to share anyway. Moving on...

I never could live a new year without resolutions, it helps me to keep track of what I have doing for the past year. I have spending a lot on taxi fares recently, plus punctuality has been my no. 1 problem since forever! Here are my new year resolutions, they might seem repeatitive, but hey at least I am admitting my faults and working on them. How about you?

Melz' New Year Resolutions

1. No more snoozing, which also means I will need to adjust my bedtime.
2. Be punctual at all time, which leads to...
3. Avoid spending lavishly on taxi rides.
4. Lead a health lifestyle, which includes eating 3 proper meals a day and regular excercising.
5. Control spending habits - this reminds me that I have to register for class by this week!

Pitt's mum was very kind to give me an Express Manicure voucher from Ladyfinger. I had my first manicure done today! Pretty Pink Nails!

And I just ruined one of the tips while typing this entry. I wonder how long this thing is going to last.

I'm trying to curb my shopping desires. There's just so many things that I want... Shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories, getting a part-time maid... Mum's always nagging and complaining about me not doing housework. But I hate doing housework! I need to save for bigger stuff! I want to get my own apartment, learn to drive and study! Omg. I can't seem to get started on anything. And it's not helping that I can shop for 2 hours during lunch break.

I'm so crazy over the 10-11pm taiwan teen drama on channel u now. Almost wanted to go get a portable dvd player so I can rent the dvd and watch it anywhere, anytime. BUT I'm trying to S-A-V-E! Jesus. I think that I really have a disorder - I'm a SHOPAHOLIC! Starting this month, I'm going to stop buying things on impulse. Learn to be a scrooge. That's how people get rich right? RIGHT! Ok. A scrooge I'll be there then. Or perhaps not. I'll just learn to say no to impulse buying and really think, re-think and triple think before I pay for something that I don't need.

Nice to have, can do without.

Today is the first time in 2 years that I did public speaking. The last time was during class presentation in poly. I was asked to do the opening and closing speech for today's event, held at Pan Pacific for high net worth clients. I was calm throughout the whole registration process and didn't really feel the jitters until it was time to start the opening. According to Mel, my opening speech was quite good. I wouldn't know what's her definition of good. I thought it was just marginal. HL said that I have been signed on as emcee for future events already. Oh well, I hope that practice makes perfect and I will be able to do the opening and closing effortlessly next time.

I've got good news to share! Mel is 3 months pregnant, I'm so excited when she told me! She wanted me to help her more with the events going forward. I hope that the whole pregnancy thing goes well for Mel. I'm so happy for her. =^o^=

I'm just a little worried that I might not be able to cope with both operations and marketing at the same time. I guess I'm not cut out to be a career woman since I'm so lazy and not committed to work. However, I'll try my best to make this work. I want to be someone of importance! Ganbatte!

Alright, I'm on a blogging spree now. Since it is already half a year gone, I thought I would just give myself a little reminder and check my resolution list.

Yeapx. At least there's one tick. Not too bad. I still have another 6 more months to do the rest.

I'm covering one of my colleague at work now and it is just crazy! I have to run up and down between 3 levels to deliver documents between departments. I don't even have time to do my own work! Geez! I wish that she will never go on vacation again. I'm also doing some marketing stuff like event coordination for seminars and eDMs. I'm liking it! Maybe I might consider studying Marketing again. I'm just sitting on the fence now deliberating between banking & finance, accounting & finance or marketing. Oh well. I guess I still have some time to sit on it. Don't think I can make it for this year's intake anywayz.
