I have had enough of someone driving me crazy the past few weeks for just 1.7k sales. I have to entertain him daily and make up excuses for ignoring his sms and calls. To the extent that every time I see his sms now, I will be irritated because I have been desperate enough to entertain him in the first place. He sent me at least 2-3 sms every day even though I never replied a single one of them over the long weekend. Yesterday night was the final straw. I decided to block off his number from my phone. My only regret is why I haven’t thought of blocking him sooner before he can cause me so much misery. From now on, I have learnt to work smart. Never give a male your personal contact number during work so that you won’t get stalked after office hours.

Speaking of which, I love my Samsung d900. The phone has the ability to block off particular numbers while the caller will have no idea why he just can’t get through your phone. Only down side is that they can’t block unknown / private numbers. So if your stalker or enemy subscribed for caller number non display or uses a public phone, he will still be able to ring you up. You can also block off sms sent from a particular number so you won’t be irritated every time a particular name shows, just like blocking someone in MSN messenger. Although Samsung phones are not particularly packed with features, it does not hurt for any women to own a phone with this key feature. You get my recommendation.

PS: if your job is to design new phone features for any other mobile brands, you may want to use this as an inspiration and give us consumers a wider variety to choose from.

2 blog posts in a day during office hours, I am just trying to make up for the lack of posts since someone *ahem* kept asking me to update more. =P To tell the truth, I super duper dislike my job even though I have a wonderful boss. I drag myself to work everyday, sit my ass through the 8 hours then break into freedom for a couple of hours (excluding sleep) and the whole vicious cycle repeats again. I am so sick of my life. The only thing I appreciate is having my precious babies and people who care about me.

News Article - Yao's 'stingy' China quake donation sparks debate

In the above article, the cheenas are criticizing Yao Ming for making a donation of 500,000 yuan (70,000 dollars) to China's earthquake relief. Many claimed that the amount is only peanuts to someone who earned some 55 million dollars from basketball and sponsorship activities and has been at the top of the Forbes magazine list of richest Chinese celebrities for the past five years. Comments include "He's been drinking milk and eating bread (like an American) for a while and he's forgotten where he comes," "You are Chinese!" He later increased his donation to 2 million yuan due to the negative publicity.

My baby read about this from a local online forum. Someone claimed that China rejected the donation made by Singapore, claiming that they would rather not accept since our donation amount is too small. I have tried to search for relevant news articles on the net but to no avail. Since I'm not very well-tuned to local and global news, would appreciate if someone will be able to point me to any official source. I did however, come across the article below about our contributions towards the China earthquake victims. I feel that what we have done here is already sufficient, taking into consideration that we are not very affluent as compared to the other European countries.

Anyway, I am not very fond of our Chinese counterparts in Singapore. I have always dislike certain traits such as being loud, unreasonable unethical, which majority of them posses in my opinion. I readily believed when I was told of the above. Donations if you ask me, is not a necessity but something done out of goodwill / compassion. If I were to donate 10 dollars to a beggar and he throws back my 10 bucks telling me that he only take 50s. I am not obligated to help them since they do not bring much benefit to my homeland other than giving us a higher level of noise pollution with their overly loud conversations and their unethical acts of peeing in our trains.

I am not indicating that we should discriminate the cheenas and not make any form of donations towards the China earthquake fund. I am just grossed out at how the cheenas expect everyone to make a big contribution like it was something compulsory. Does it boil down to the communist culture that all people should share equal wealth or just because it is the upbringing and culture instilled in them since young (e.g. peeing in train). I have made my point.
